probably one of the most adult purchases I have ever made. And I gotta say I am really loving it so far.

Picked up a Refurbished 12.9-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi 64GB.

I had a first gen 12.9 from work, but they took it from me when I was furloughed in back April. I’d been missing it immensely - I didn’t realize how much I actually used it. This new one is great though. I’m loving the smaller size and weight drop.

I too like the size and weight of the Gen 3 vs the Gen 1.

I use mine every day.

On the fence on pulling the trigger waiting for a good deal. I will start traveling for work again soon and need an iPad. What did you pay if you dont mind me asking so I can gauge the market?

I was curious if it was refurbished from somewhere else as the available 12in models on Apple's refurb are not good deals at all imo right now. Also limited stock.
They're very good deals when you consider they're like new and come with Apple's one year warranty with an option to buy Applecare+. The refurb stock changes often so one has to keep checking back. This is a topic regularly discussed in the iPad forums here.

I got permission from the other to buy something. Saw so many Apple Series 5watches on sale during Memorial Day for the price I got my Series 3 during it's first price drop. I waited to long and couldn't get a 40mm for the price of my Series 3, so had to spend a little more to get a 44mm, but it is Nike so I get the cool extra faces. :p

Now, I have to wait for the middle of the month for my new Nike sport pride band.

I’ve got a Nike Series 5 too and they do have the best face I would say, enjoy

Being that brand new ones are constantly on sale I dont consider if that great of a deal unless they are better then the sales prices. I do agree they are great quality but not as good as most deals from 3rd party vendors. I will keep an eye open though!

Just arrived today.

If you are unaware of the story behind the shirt...

The body of the former pro wrestler Shad Gaspard was found after it washed ashore on Venice Beach early Wednesday morning, the authorities said.

Mr. Gaspard, 39, was reported missing on Sunday, after he was swept out to sea by a rip current while swimming with his son, Aryeh, 10, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Lifeguard Division.

Around 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday, a police officer was flagged down by a person reporting that a body had washed ashore on the beach, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The body was later identified as Mr. Gaspard’s.

Initially, Mr. Gaspard and his son were swimming in waist-deep water, but conditions changed quickly, Kenichi Haskett, the section chief of the lifeguard division, said in an interview on Wednesday.
“His last few words were ‘just secure my son, rescue my son,’” Chief Haskett said.

The lifeguard brought the child to shore and ran back out to rescue Mr. Gaspard, who was struggling in five- to six-foot waves but still floating.

“In 60 seconds, the lifeguard went back out to go get Shad,” Chief Haskett said. “He saw him and then a wave came and pushed him under.” Mr. Gaspard did not resurface again.

Lifeguards began to search for Mr. Gaspard on Sunday but could not locate him. The search continued the next day with divers and sonar equipment. On Tuesday, the Coast Guard called off its search, but the Los Angeles County Lifeguards continued to look for Mr. Gaspard, Chief Haskett said.
Mr. Gaspard was a member of the WWE’s Cryme Tyme duo. In 2008, the team partnered up with John Cena to help him with his rivalry with another wrestler named JBL. Mr. Gaspard was also an actor, appearing in “Get Hard” in 2015 with Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell, and “Black Panther” in 2018.

“WWE is saddened to learn that former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard has passed away at the age of 39,” the wrestling company said in a statement. “Admired by friends and colleagues for his warmth and humor, Gaspard was no stranger to heroic deeds.”

Dwayne Johnson, who was also a wrestler, sent the Gaspard family his condolences on Twitter.

“Man, this is a tough one,” Mr. Johnson said. “A really tough one. Great guy.”

Shad Gaspard was a former pro wrestler who got stuck with a pretty racist gimmick, that he and his partner made work. His partner ran afoul of various personalities in the WWE which would eventually lead to them being let go. Shad Gaspard though he didn't continue in wrestling, became an actor like many before him. What impressed me was he also turned to writing and managed to get a script on the Black list.

Shad Gaspard’s script Pinfall made the annual Black List, which is a list of Hollywood executives’ favorite unproduced screenplays.

According to the official website: “The Black List, an annual survey of Hollywood executives’ favorite unproduced screenplays, was founded in 2005. Since then, more than 400 Black List scripts have been produced, grossing over $26 billion in box office worldwide. Black List movies have won 53 Academy Awards from 262 nominations, including 4 of the last 10 Best Picture Oscars and 10 of the last 22 Best Screenplay Oscars.
That list has had some crazy films on it, so it's pretty impressive he made the list for a guy who hadn't been writing for films for many years.

The guy was really well liked, with various funds raising money for him easily. This shirt was made by a company of a former wrestler, with ALL of the money going to Shad Gaspard's family. Something I was eager to contribute to.

Yet another broken PowerBook. Guy says it’s a 15” but it almost looks like a 17” to me.

Wow, that's a sick looking PowerBook. I'd be interested to hear how you get on if you plan on a refurbish, so will any of the 'clan' over on the PPC forum. Or did you purchase it for spare parts?

Got those yesterday. Looked like fun
What model MacBook are they? All the same?
The only white MacBook that still excites me these days is the mid 2010 MacBook7,1 which when patched runs Mojave superbly, especially with an SSD and upgraded RAM as mine has. It's one of the best, underated MacBooks ever imho!
It will also run Catalina - although I'll steer well clear of that, as I've always done with Safari, much preferring a personally well-tweeked up-to-date FireFox.

Well it came today- it powers on but shows no video, internal or external. I can hear system sounds but no other life. And it is a 17” original. 2003.

They are from 2006-2009 all random. Haven’t even tested them all yet but the guy does have another lot if you want some...
