It was a Christmas miracle but my dream finally came true :)

Love the color! Edit, I know this picture is still in the showroom, but Are you planning on removing the yellow splitter “guard”?

Yes it is already off. I know some prefer to leave it on but was never an option for me as it can actually cause damage to the splitter ironically. It can get dirt and grime caught up under the "guard" and scratch it.

Ah! Good to hear! So many people don’t understand that it causes damage! Enjoy the car!

Amazon had the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen on sale for $79 new for a brief period. Hardly ever see this for less than $119. I was going to get the Scarlett 2i2 for 50 more ($169)... but I only need it to record my instrument(s) so I used my Amazon gift cards I got for Christmas, and bought the Solo for the $79 sale price. As soon as I purchased it, the price went back up to $119. I thought maybe I bought a used one, since I can't even find a Solo used for that price. I double checked the invoice, and it said "New". I'm starting to not feel confident because the price is too good to be true. Tracking says it shipped, so I'll have to wait and see...

EDIT: Updated photo to remove color confusion...

Looks very nice.

I'm curious - how was the purchasing process? Dealer inventory in my area is practically zero at almost all dealers. I received an e-mail this week from my local Chevrolet dealer promoting their cars & trucks ("Grab the keys to your new Chevy"), and just out of curiosity I went to their website to scroll through their new inventory. Every vehicle listed on their website was 'in transit' (similar to what I assume you found for your Ranger). I don't know if they are marking up prices or selling at full sticker, but for the time being it seems that discounts are few and far between.

Pretty much exactly that. The Ford dealers in Phoenix have almost zero inventory. I've been looking for this for about 6 weeks... everything listed in the dealer inventory is either sold or in transit. One dealer had a used 2019 and one had a $50K Ranger on the lot... so I bit the bullet and ordered one... I have one lead on an "in transit" that is due Monday... if it works out, I'll buy and cancel the order... otherwise, gonna have to wait.

The dealers are not willing to make deals on "in transit" vehicles for two reasons: (1) no absolute idea when the vehicle will arrive, and (2) no clue about what incentives (if any) will be offered when the vehicle does arrive... so you order, put a deposit ($1,500). When it arrives, do the deal or walk away (at least they refund the deposit!).

BTW, Ford reintroduced the Bronco this past year... they are hotter than anything in the Phoenix market... dealer told me that he took 2 orders last week with a 15-18 MONTH lead time. That's insane.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm still not completely clear - what is your expectation on the price you will pay when the vehicle does actually arrive? Is it going to be a sticker price sale (unless there are some incentives that may be in place when the time arrives)? Does the dealer commit to not marking up the price above sticker, at least?

It is completely understandable that dealers will not be doing much if any discounting at this point in time. I don't know if that also applies to things like Costco pricing, companies that have deals in place via credit unions, and so forth? And there may still be some incentive for dealers to be competitive if you are in a market where there are multiple dealers for the same brand, but our current situation is a bit unprecedented I think, which is why I'm curious. You are in Phoenix so there are many dealers for you to shop from. Fortunately my wife and I both have new enough vehicles that we do not need (or want) to purchase anything new right now.

Bronco leadtime - crazy! I have noticed a few on the roads here but not many.
