nVidia RTX A2000 12GB l/p

Seller asked USD490, and I offered USD300 . . . the seller accepted :)

I hope to have the n3rdware active cooler delivered soon-ish (Robbe has a new version incoming).

Since I now have a slim, beefy x86 box, I feel more relaxed about letting my T5500 go....

*sigh* So; it's so.

New sunnies. Although i'm tempted to convert them to regular optical eyewear.

You should buy a second pair and convert them to regular eyewear if you like them so much! I did that with Ray Ban wayfarers. For whatever reason the prescription frames were a different size than the sunglass frames and the sunglass frames fit me better so I went with the sunglass frames for my eyeglasses also.

I so need to get a pair of sunglasses. My vintage raybans don’t fit too well. My other cheap car sunglasses are so scratched they probably aren’t safe!
I've worn glasses since I was seven years old.

However, - precisely because I wear glasses - I couldn't wear standard sunglasses (and I learned, the hard way, that one of my eyes was outside the parameters for Bausch & Lomb prescription sunglasses, when I first thought to invest in a pair of prescription sunglasses), for the past 30 years or so, I have had prescription sunglasses.

My current (standard) eyeglasses, and my prescription sunglasses, are both in Oliver People's frames, - I had my optician order those frames, having first encountered them in Stockholm well over a decade ago, when I spotted the frames, attempted to buy them, and ended up having an eye-test, (having been indignantly informed that "we never sell frames without having tested the eyes") - which was brisk - almost brusque - but extraordinarily efficient - and thereby ordered a frame that I found suited my face.

Fantastic, they offered a bottle of champagne and other things for my birthday. The property is beautiful and service is top.

2 things I didn’t like: at check-in they tried to upsell me to a villa (+4k) and for check out, they didn’t offer late check out. We felt a bit kicked out of the room.

The restaurant Le Cap was amazing we had an awesome time.

Here are some pictures.

Wow, amazing. I am glad you enjoyed it. You were lucky with the weather, too.

Same here I just got mines replaced 2 months ago. The dryer was toast.

I replaced my 7 year old basic whirlpool with another when the bearings died on it and it started sounding like a jet taking off. The first 3 years were in a laundry room with a super uneven and bouncy floor so the machine was always bouncing around no matter what I did to help it.

So I figured this was a pretty good lifespan and bought another identical looking washer! That one lasted a whole year and a half before the same exact symptoms! The repair dude was telling me they started using really crappy bearings and this happened to a lot of his customers.

So this time I bought a fancy GE front loader. It's smooth as heck and has a soap dispenser, which has EASILY paid for itself in soap savings alone. The clothes come out clean. The blue rubber antibacterial gasket gets gross but isn't that hard to keep clean. Unfortunately, the soap dispenser drawer loves collecting mold like a bored 12 year old likes collecting pokemon. Cleaning that isn't for the weak of stomach!

Finally earlier this year, my whirlpool dryer died. I had been hoping to get the matching GE dryer, so I did - and I ordered a set of drawer stands so that it would be easier to load clothing.

Fast forward a week, I open the drawers and realize the washer's drawer has an inch of water splashing around inside. That's odd! I figured maybe when they laid the machine down to install the drawer, that somehow caused it to spill out? So I cleaned it up.

A week later, water again. Yep. Washer is now like 2.5 years old and it leaks. TBH It probably leaked since day 1. Cleaning the filter seemed to help a little? Meh. I'm disappointed in the washer lol :D It still works FINE. Just leaks. X_X

Next time I'm buying a speed queen!

Their appliances ain’t even reliable.

The microwave died after 6 years.

My LG dryer lasted for over 16 years.
