It's a metal bar that protrudes from the wall by a couple of inches. I'm just as depressed by it as you are…

Nope it's not a nightstand its a desk, but thats what I use for my nightstand. Has my iMac G3, HTC One, Apple Remote, and a pair of headphones. Keyboard and mouse are below
