Oh my God, I have been meaning to try that exact same clothing switcheroo forever. How hard was it?

pretty easy, though obviously the front and back panels are going to be different for different models.

If I may ask, why did you do it in the first place? Did you want a better-looking computer for your main system?

I put my MDD in my closet at home (media server), wanted the silver skin on the exposed B&W server at work

Yeah, I think the green Apple will go better with the black case, that would look cool.

I've been thinking of getting my MacBook Pro colorwared to be black and then having an image sketched onto the top case.

Specifically Magritte's "The Son of Man".

Oh, and after that's etched, change out the logo color to Green!

What do you think?

Interesting. Technically it would because it uses non-Apple parts (besides the case that is), but in the end it would just be a custom Mac Pro
