With all the great themes out, I'm sure at least half of us are using one. Some may be using a combination. I thought that this may be a fun opportunity for us to share what theme(s) we're using. A few screenshots will do. :) I'll start.

On my G5, I'm using iLeopard and iOX. iLeopard tones down the colors, and iOX makes all the icons more colorful! Nice balance! :D

My iBook G4 is mainly being used for testing out my Leopard install with updates 'n' apps, but at the moment I have LeopardRebirth and iOX, which looks REALLY GOOD! :D

Why Yosemite? The Mac Pro should be able to handle El Cap or Sierra, and you get the additional features and stability...

If you must use something out of date, make it Mavericks because it has the better UI. :D

Why Yosemite? The Mac Pro should be able to handle El Cap or Sierra, and you get the additional features and stability...
One specific reason…

InDesign.png

If this breaks because I updated I'm screwed. Adobe CC 2017 is bloated and InDesign slows to a crawl. Second, my coworker on her G5 needs to be able to open and edit my documents if there is a need for that.

If you must use something out of date, make it Mavericks because it has the better UI. :D
Maybe. But Mavericks also has a SMB bug. That bug causes InDesign to fail to save a document to the server after 24 hours. ID tells you it can't communicate with the server then quits. Any changes you may have made are gone. The only solution is to either restart or disconnect all server shares and reload them.

That gets to be a very big PITA every day. Yosemite fixed the SMB bug.

There is a workaround on Mavericks - if you feel like connecting to the server using SMB1 rather than the faster SMB2 protocol.

PowerMac G5 Quad: Black OSX Theme with Black Gloss Dock/Icons.

Oh yeah…my dock…

Decided to go themeless for awhile. I really have no preference when it comes to themes, I just like something new. About once a week I change the theme. This week it's how Apple designed it. :)

Wanted to have LeopardRebirth, but, as I said before, I like to change themes, so I couldn't do a full installation. Instead, I just installed ArtFile, SArtFile, and Extras. No icons or dock changes (which is how I like it).

Per request I'll upload the three files to Google drive and put download links here. Or you could extract them yourself. File paths to install them in:
ArtFile and SArtFile: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CoreUI.framework/Versions/A/Resources/

As suggested by @AphoticD i will post here my icons sets for theming.

RePlatinum
Last one is RePlatinum, an attempt at making a Mac OS X hires Apple Platinum like system icon set. I embarked in a small retro-challenge as I wanted to do it all on a PPC in Tiger, moreover with free softwares. So grabbed one of my Ti 1Ghz running Tiger and used Blender 2.56-beta PPC, Gimp 2.6.11 PPC (running in Apple's X11), the rendered 1024x1024 PNGs icons were then converted to Tiger compatible icns icons with Pic2Icon 1.3 .

Main problem was re-learning how to use old Blender render engine and modeling tools (no ngons !), as it changed a lot from v.2.56 to 2.79 that i use on the MacBookPro. And also the render time on the Ti, less that stellar even for only a 1024x1024 image :p Gimp , well… is’t like Photoshop, and it’s not like Photoshop…
Anyways, Some screenshots:

Looks like this in the very PowerBook used to do it, Together with a Shapeshifter theme and Fruitmenu :

Comes in 3 flavors, 128x128 (for tiger), 512x512 (for Leo and later), and retina.

NeXTSpirit
Next (!) is an older of mine . Actually two sets. The intention was to make a NeXT computer hires icon theme for OSX. these were done on a MacBook Pro, in recents versions of Blender and Photoshop, no retro-challenge here. Some Screenshots :

Note I used some objects from that one in the RePlatinum set.

PB1XX
Then one that is not a theming set per se but still old macs so maybe can be of some use ;p . It's a set of toy like old PowerBook 100 series icons and wallpapers. Screenshots:

Not OS X but Ubuntu Mate Linux with a Mac-like menubar, OS 9 window borders, rhapsody-like window controls and Gnome icons
This machine is my non-PPC daily driver, a 2012 Toshiba Satellite running Ubuntu Mate since I hate Gnome 3 and it's restrictions
Good thing about Gnome2 is for example that you can them everything very easy
Bildschirmfoto zu 2018-05-31 18-41-55.png

there is also a Jaguar-like theme that even has transparent background windows:

I try to stick with the defaults, but I do like to set various desktop backgrounds for different combinations of machines and users.
