Politically incorrect I know, but who ever knew a politician to be correct

For a ten year old zippo it's in VERY good shape! What are the advantages of a Zippo over a regular lighter?

Oh, thanks for the comments on my gallery :) Glad you liked it!

zippos are collected by some.
people are also known to do 'tricks' with them. and they have a very very long lifespan.

I don't like my zippo. It seems like I have to fill it every time I want to use it. I only really use it every few days to light some incense.

I don't know whether they were designed as such but I believe they were issued (and favoured by) US GIs. You could always get petrol or aviation fuel to fill it with and as already stated it takes a hell of a wind to blow them out. You can also submerse them in water and they will still light aftter a few minutes. I first started using them when Fell (Hill) walking.

I find the brass versions create a better seal. Still they are not so good for occasional use.

I have a cool James Bond one, I will get a pic tonight.

I had a brass one for a long time, loved it. But it got lost at a party one night, fell out of my pocket on the couch I think.

Since I quit smoking I have not replaced it. I always heard it was good luck to get a zippo as a present, but bad luck to buy it for yourself.

Not that I am superstitious, just wondered if anyone else hear that?

I have a few, but I lost my two favorites. One was just matte black, and it fell out of my coat and into a sewer grate as I was getting out of my friend's truck. Another was chrome with a jolly roger on it. Never did find out what happened to that one. The two I have left are a Miniature one, probably from the 70s or 80s that I got from my dad. The other has a Megadeth logo, which I got at a concert a couple of years ago. I may post pics later tonight.

So, I dropped some change between the seats in my car the other day. I reached down to retrieve it, and pulled this out:

I lost it four months ago! I thought it was gone forever. Happy day.

Anyway, here are the other two I mentioned in my above post.

I have a lot of Zippos, I collect them,Zippos and Shot Glasses(Is that bad for a teenager?). I don't smoke or drink but I string lacrosse sticks which requires a lot of burning strings. I'll try to get a pic of y collection but they are scttered around, so that may not happen.
