Since a few months, Postbox mail is losing my iCloud mail password constantly. When I setup a new password it works for a few days or weeks and then I get a message to enter the password for the iCloud mail server. This is annoying because this happens when I am sending mail. I already send a bug report to the developer.

My other mailboxes are working fine, this is only happening with iCloud mail. And in the Apple mail app iCloud mail is working fine, so I think it is something in Postbox mail.

Does anyone who also used Postbox a similar experience? Maybe I am overlooking something (I checked and followed the instructions on Postbox website a few times already).

Been using Postbox for about 8 months... no issues for me with iCloud/AppleID password (or any other passwords). Apple Mail would prompt me from time to time for a "forgotten" password, but I can't recall a single time that Postbox has prompted for the password after the email account was configured.

Thanks. Today I entered a new password and I could send e-mail. It all worked because I also sent a mail to myself which I received. However, immediately after that Postbox prompted me again with an option to change my password. I selected "new password" and then nothing happened. Something seems not right.

I checked in the app password history on the Apple site and it showed that I changed my password every two weeks or so, which is consistent with Postbox asking me for a new password (last time was only 3 days ago).

Is Postbox asking for a NEW password or just prompting you to enter the current password? With iCloud/AppleID, you have to do an "app specific password", so you should not have to keep changing it ... very curious behavior ...

You're right: it is asking for the current password. I thought of this too yesterday. Until now, I just followed the instructions on their website without thinking much :).

Yesterday, I opened my Sent box and I had to enter the (current) password again. I am not sure what is happening here.

I filed a bug report to the developer (I did the same thing 2 weeks ago), but haven't heard anything yet. Which is odd, because they were responding quickly when I filed a bug report 2 months ago about something else.
