This morning I had my iPhone 15 Pro on energy saving mode. I capped the loading to 80% through the new iOs function.
To my surprise, the phone charged to 83% before I noticed. Anyone else noticed this?
I understand battery percentage is not 100%% correct, but capping at 80% shouldn't allow charging to 81% even imo.

this has come up multiple times on this forum. The documentation clearly states the phone will charge above 80% on occasion.

With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates.

This. I guess Apple would be better off putting this “occasionally charging to 100 percent” notice in the Settings, right next to the toggle, to keep everybody zen.
