So I was browsing Craigslist today and stumbled upon the following ad:

http://boise.craigslist.org/sys/2142530215.html

Seems intriguing and really cheap. However, I'm not sure how to tell what Rev. it is? Any clues? Does this sale seem too good to be true? I emailed the seller to ask more about the computer, but haven't heard back yet.

I guess we'll see!

Take a moment to ponder, and post your own answer to your question here. :)

Yes, it seems too good to be true to me.

It does seem too good to be true...; but hey, you never know! ;) I've yet to be scammed on Craigslist. But thanks for being honest :D

Craig's List

I assume you live in the city where the Mac is for sale. If you do not, you are asking for trouble. I sell on Craig's List for my area and will only meet in a public place, accept only cash and allow the person buying the item to see it and try it out. I would not consider shipping something or paying for something unless it is face to face. That's what Ebay is for.

I do live in the area, I wouldn't consider buying something from across the country off that website. I've sold a couple ipods and school books on Craigslist but haven't bought anything.

That's interesting that the other listing uses the exact same photo, definitely smells fishy! Thanks everyone :)

I'm fairly sure this is a scam. For the past couple months, I've been following MacBooks on Craigslist hoping to pick one up for a reasonable price, and I've seen numerous MacBook Air posts at $340 and $350 in both St. Louis and the San Francisco Bay Area. One person in St. Louis actually posted his experience with them on Craigslist, as he fell for the scam. Don't fall for it.

Scam. Run away.

But send out an email and see what the buyer says.

hes

hes going to ask you to kindle give him your social security number and information so he can send you the computer and he will then link you to his website that will infect your computer with a plethora of spyware and then eventually ruin your life. Ask yourself is all that worth the tempting price of 350? Either that or its stolen, which in that case the thief is an idiot.
