Hi all, not sure how much of a risk this really is but thought I’d post to keep you informed and so that you can tell your nearest and dearest NOT to click the button.
Was browsing iMore on mi iPhone7 today, (10.3.1), and the below window popped up…...

I'd report it to @reneritchie as well. Just an ad. I've seen a few of these over the years, they're not new. But they don't have any place showing up on iMore—they're more of a click-baity site ad.

Close it, it's just an advertisement or tech support scam.
Yeah, I just thought it would be useful to know for those who know people with iDevices that may be more susceptible to scamming.

Use a couple Safari ad blockers myself and this falls into adware and cross posting overlaying the normal ad with something else.

Worse part, make sure it really is the web site and not fake replica.

Might just do that too actually. I pretty much always type the address into the browser myself or use links that I’ve made.
