My new 2019 iMac delivered with 10.14.4 and imediately a efi firmware check message about a potential problem popped up. I selected "send to apple" and then nothing happened. Could someone educate me about this?
Thanks.

Contacted Apple Support and they don't have a clue as to why this happend on a out of the box machine.

Screenshot?

Did that window appear before you installed anything of your own, and simply appeared the first time you booted up?
Was it only that one time on first boot, or do you see it every time you boot or restart?

Yea, that ...

You don't quote the message. Is it the "Share with Apple..." message? That's among many messages that pop up on a first boot and setup.

Since you don't say what this mystery message is, no one who's told you to return it has a clue.

I think this is the weekly firmware check

macos-highsierra-EFI-check-alert_0.jpg

Open Terminal, and in its command line type
/usr/libexec/firmwarecheckers/eficheck/eficheck --integrity-check

this check found no problems
