Hey,

I just plugged in my mac and the power cable is just flicking back and forth between green and orange over and over again. Not at a steady rate or anything, just kind of at an unsteady pace, and the mac is going back and forth between wall power and battery power because of it. So... is my power cable dead and is it time to buy another one? ^-^;; Thanks!

Sounds unhealthy!
Is it a magsafe, or something else? I'd try a different wall socket, and if you get the same thing i would try another power adapter (drop into an apple store if you can).
If it is not the cable you may need to reset the PMU (?)

Nah, it's the Powerbook G4 power cord, yeah I guess it wouldn't sound like the wisest thing to be fiddling around with the cable itself. But I have tried other wall sockets in the room, it's kind of the same thing, eventually it just starts working properly again though (like right now thankfully). I'll probably wait it out till it really does die or something <=)

What does resetting the PMU do?
