I have a base M1 Mini with 8GB Ram and 256 SSD. I have my mini on a long 8 feet table. I think the cord it comes with is about 6 feet. My only outlet close by is at the very end of the table and another 4 drawer chest to the right of that. So about 11 feet away. I can plug into a power strip surge protector. But I still need another couple of feet. Do they make any longer cords? Or is it safe to use the mini with an extension cord?

Personally, I mount a power strip near the mini to handle the mini, displays, external disks, hubs, etc. But like @Energybutton says extension cord or longer cable is simple too. You won’t hurt it no matter what option you choose.

That is great thanks. Also just out of curiosity does anybody know how many watts the new M2 mini uses? And the pro obviously more than the base model.
