On my wife’s 27” iMac 5k the power cord wore through the insulation where it goes through the hole in the stand. Tripped the GFCI circuit it was plugged into. The edge of the opening seems a little sharp. Anybody else ever had this problem?

No but any standard electronics power cord will work as a replacement.

Makes me wonder how the cord became abraded. If there's movement, probably a good idea not to run the next one through that hole.
