Quick question:
I have a M4 Max MBP. Planning to add a XDR Display. Can I simply plug the laptop's included MagSafe USB-C cable into the XDR for both display / data to the monitor, as well as charging to the MBP? Is it that simple?

Sorry, for the dumb question. I haven't owned a MBP since the very first Intel 17" model...

The MagSafe is power only. But the display will charge the Mac with the included Thunderbolt cable with USB-C PD so you do not need anything except the Thunderbolt plugged in. You do not need the Magsafe.

Thank you! So, any of the three USB-C ports on the MBP will work, right? They're all TB5, correct?

Thanks! So much nicer than the old days, with the ACD's and the rat's nest of cables, power bricks, etc.
