Do you folks power down your devices, or are they left continually on ? I tend to switch off mine (op3t) at night, and restart in the morning. Do I need to switch it off completely ?

I leave mine on all the time. They can update whenever it needs to. Then have you ever powered up a phone after it has been off a few days then it gets every notification in the world all at once! Maddeningly annoying.

All my devices I leave on. The only time they shut off is if they shut off themselves from lack of battery. My iPad has done that a few times from lack of use and forgetting about it.

I don't think there's any good reason to regularly turn devices off. Are there?

Matter of preference.

I like to turn off my iPhone nightly...if I owned an Android phone, that wouldn't change.

You don't NEED to that, but I would say it's good that you do it, as it will mean your phone constantly runs well and RAM isn't full of junk.

I reboot my S7 Edge maybe once a month.

I turn of my devices daily. I don't need to check them when i sleep or do the mid sleep social network check. Also it bodes well for the life of the devices.

MacBook is off till i use it. iPad is off till i get up then off before nightshift work as i'm not there. Phone, be it android or iPhone at the time is off while i sleep and often not switched on till i walk the dog in the evening.

I always leave my iPad Pro 12.9 on and to sleep when I am not using and for my Android tablet I shut it off completely because the battery is not that great.
