My MB was down to 17% and I plugged it in and continued surfing. About 5 mins later my screen dimmed so I knew it went back to battery power. When I checked the plug for proper connection it was VERY hot. (no indicator light was on).

Anyone experience this before? I get good battery life and all. Dunno why it decided to do this. Hope it is not a dc in board or something. I plugged it back in and it came on for a second and kicked off again.

It sounds like a bad adapter. I had one with similar symptoms and Apple was quick to send a replacement. You should probably seek a new unit yourself, since an overheating adapter can be a fire hazard.

I think it may be on the adapter side rather than the MB side. I noticed the light went off when I moved the plug so I could blame the adapter easier than the MB side of the plug.
