Is there a power strip that also has 2 USB charging ports that is capable of charging an iPhone and iPad Air at the same time? I know both have different charging requirements with respect to watts (AMPS?) and want to make sure I can buy unit capable of charging both simultaneously.

Power Strip with USB?

This is the closest thing to it:
Plugable 12 Outlet Power Surge Protector with Built-in Dual USB Cha... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CHRID4Y/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_-c4ttb0RXD495

It has 2 USB ports but only a 2.1 amp output shared.

Maybe get this with it since it has so many outlets:
PowerGen White 4.2-Amp (20 Watt) Dual USB Wall Charger Designed for Apple iPad & iPhone by POWERGEN http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BNQTIRQ/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_le4ttb0BR8JAZ

I use a LeGrand Plugmold Power Center.

4 USB charging ports in addition to 6 AC power ports. Surge suppression and power switching. Bought it at my nearby Home Depot. It charge my iPad Air, iPad 3rd Gen, and two iPhone 5 handsets at the same time, along with an HDTV that I use for a monitor (which is connected to my rMBP, which is plugged into a UPS). I plug it into the UPS, and it's hanging from my desk (installation hardware was included). Cheap, easy to install, and it works.
