Power/sync problems Mac Pro Late 2014

Since the beginning my Mac Pro have had problems with my external gear. I have a lot of external stuff connected both to USB and Thunderbolt ports (3 midi controllers, audio interface, a couple of discs, three displays).

I have always had some problems with the external stuff, but since I got a new midi controller with own software on it, its worse than ever.

Almost every thing I have connected to my mac pro has their own power supply, (except for one SSD disc and a Midi keyboard that runs on 6v 1A power) so I guess its not a power supply issue.

any one else with these problems?

discs that suddenly says its not connected (and the mess "didn't eject properly..." comes up), my midi controllers that sometimes blinks and resetting the software without saving it etc...

one in three times one of my three screens won't start when starting OS, and I need to restart the computer.

I have done two major OS updates and these issues is still there (I have everything updated to the latest firmware).

I should say that I have a lot of issues with logic pro as well...

Plugins that does not work as they should (several of them), and YES I bought every plugin I use... thought it would make things work better. Some arrange I can't even open anymore in logic. These are problems I haven't heard ANYONE of my friends have (they don't have a Mac Pro, but Macbook pro and Imac.

Am I just "unlucky" and got a bad ex of mac pro?

I guess your Mac Pro is the 2013 model, there is no 2014 model.

If you can afford to live without the Mac Pro for few days, may be you can take it to the Apple store, tell them the problem, and ask for a check (It's free).

Hopefully they can found the problem and fix it.

If it's software / the external hardware issue. Most likely they won't find it.

For software issue, you can submit a bug report. They will usually get back to you in 2-3 days, may give you some instruction to try, or request further information. But don't expect they can really fix anything for you, the fix most likely will only happen on the future OS update.

If that's because of incompatible 3rd party hardware, then Apple basically won't do anything.

Yes, its the "cylinder" mac pro late 2013.

I think its the USB ports that just looses power. And since it occurs randomly I don't think its no point in leave the computer for service.

Someone else told me that those kind of problems occurs when waking up the computer from sleeping-mode. But I have turned of all sleeping-mode settings and the problem happens while using the controllers.

Is there any USB-port settings I can change?
