I got them from a third party retailer (a big proper one in the UK) and was about to contact Apple support to warranty and replace these, but I'm wondering if it's possible to get a refund. Thinking probably I can't, but figured I'd ask.

Also, would it even be desirable to trade PB Pros for AirPod Pros?

I love the battery life of the PB Pros, I really do use them all day, but AirPod Pros can fast charge with a few minutes or something anyway.

In the United States I would say no chance. But not sure about UK laws. After 14 days ( 30 some places) you can’t ask for a refund.

Sure, you can ask for a refund! I'm in the UK and a few years ago, the same thing happened to my BEATS iBeats. The cable snapped near to the headphone jack. I bought them on-line from their UK distributor at the time (before the Apple take over). It was a record label Warner?

Anyway they were 11 months old and I was offered a refund instantly when I contacted them by phone!

Do you have a local apple store? Go there and explain the situation. I had issues with two separate sets of PBBs (same issues others have complained of....the connection to the charging case is spotty and I would often wake up with one bud not charged). I went to the Apple store, a few months after purchase, and the Apple rep I met with is the one who suggested a straight up swap for APPs.

I prob just got lucky, but it certainly makes me wonder about the quality of the PBBs and if they are having many returns if the store rep is suggesting the switch. Buying from a third-party may cause you some trouble though.

My right earbud stopped working on my launch pair a couple of weeks ago. Apple replaced the earbud but never offered to swap.

i had 4 repairs on my PBP, asked for refund or swap. Both was denied. Living in Germany.

unlikely, but it can't hurt to ask

lol i remember joking with an employee if i could swap, and his smile disappeared when I told him it was a month ago (bought my PBP in september).

But yeah just ask nicely lol you never know.

To be honest when they first came out I listened in the store a few times and realized I got used to the bass of the PBP which has both extension and consistent response. The ANC and convenience of the size of the APP is awesome though. I'm waiting for them to be around 200 maybe.

I think you may have a very long wait. APP’s will never drop $50.

This would be ideal. I like the PB Pros, but I have had some random issues with connectivity. One time my phone was in my pocket and it probably cut out three times in 10 seconds. Thought about going the Apple store, then read where one guy went and the store sent them off to be "tested" twice, and they just kept sending them back to him saying nothing was wrong.

That's my concern now. I have a return for repair or replacement booked but bizarrely this morning they started working again great. Hoping their testing is much more refined than I'm imaging though!
