Hi everyone,
I recently received a PowerBook 170 that worked perfectly, but whose hard drive was dead. After disassembly, I removed the ram expansion module and tried to start it but since then it makes the startup chime then the death chime and displays streaks on the screen. I tested the motherboard and the chassis separately, but nothing. Im pretty sure the daughtercard is faulty. I’m not sure if I should reflow the memory chips, or if it’s just a ROM problem. Everything is clean, no bad traces or anything like that.

Thank you so much for your answers.
