PowerBook 5,6 refuses to boot Tiger on USB Drive - please help

Hello,
I have this PowerBook G4 which I accidentally deleted Macintosh HD - tried everything, from using TransMac to make a legit vanilla hackintosh using OpenCore. (Because I did not have any other usable macs) so I am stuck. Yes it is on APM and the USB drive is a SanDisk 128gb Ultra Flair USB 3.0.

Depends to some extent on which Powerbook you have. USB booting from a PPC Mac can sometimes be a mystery, but if you can't get it to boot simply by choosing the drive, you can try the Open Firmware boot commands. Probs my USB 3.0 drive is 2 new.

that is a common problem for the iBooks and PowerBooks. Find an old USBstick - if it offers something like 8 Gb it will probably work. Be patient - installation takes some time via USB. 🤓

A 2GB flash drive for $50 won't do any good for a DVD image, but they are cool.

I've had luck booting Linux from a USB Flash Drive, but never been able to boot Leopard Install DVD from one, just end up at the stop sign on my G4's and G5's.

Especially if we’re talking USB 1.1!
