PowerBook and iTunes

my mom got a PB today, so i was putting her songs from old pc(used an iPod Mini in disk mode) now its in my itunes libary but it only plays 3 seconds of music the moves onto the next song and plays 3 secounds of the next song. So.. so on

Any ideas to fix my moms new PB?(when i play songs from "shared" libaries(my iMac my bros iMac my moms old PC)

Are the songs on your Mac or hers? If they're on yours, are your other songs playing for the full amount of time?

If you select Get Info from the File menu (COMMAND-I) whilst one of these songs is selected, does the Options tab show the correct start and stop time?
