I have D-Link DUB-H7 attached to my Mac mini i7 late 2012, the hub is powered and have tow fast charging ports that working only when computer is switched off or hub disconnected from the computer.
The question is if I shutdown the computer every night and leave the hub on while its connected to computer is that can harm computer on long run?? or better cut power on hub also?
On my old mac mini I was just let the computer to sleep because the long time it takes to shutdown and boot but with the new mini with SSD it's quick to shutdown and boot so no proplems :D

Assuming whoever D-Link had design the circuitry in the hub knew what they were doing there should be no feedback from the hub to the Mac while the Mac is off that would harm it....no problem leaving it plugged in all the time.
