Hi, I was recently having some troubles with a g3 that kept kernal panicing and wouldn't let me reload the operating system, troubles all around etc. I tried replacing everything to no avail so I figured it had to be the ATA controller (it's a revision 1) and so i bought a replacement logic board. Well, when I try to power on the machine with the new logic board, it makes no bong, and instead shows the apple logo on grey, then shows the (/) symbol. Does anyone know what that means or how I can get the machine to boot normally? Thanks so much for your help.

Is it a beige or a B&W? I had to use XPostFacto to get the OS X installer to boot on my beige, even though it's supposedly a supported system.

Edit: You mentioned revision 1, so a beige then?

Sorry, it's a blue and white, and the new logic board i got for it is a revision 2

Fixed the problem, just went into open firmwire and reset the nvrm and then resetting everything, thanks!
