what i read in a powermac g4 quide, i see that the dual 867 mmd uses pc2100....but when i go to memory upgrade sites, they say this computer can use pc2700....i was thinking that the dual 1 and 1.25 could only use pc2700....can one use pc2700,,,,and will most stanard memory work,,such as crucial, kingston, corsair
 
Perhaps 2700 will work as it operates as 2100? Thats my guess.

I have had good luck with using regular memory on my macs, not bothering with paying for more for the memory that works with apple, even on my non-intel power pcs.

thanks,,i found some on craiglist tonight,,,got me 512 mg pc2700 samsung for $25...have bought from this guy before...now have 1.5 gb,,,thinking it should be good enough for the time being...sure like this mmd dual 867,,,,they are powerful rigs ,,not like a g5,,,but not too shabby.
