I don't recall anybody laughing at you. I thought it was pretty obvious that given the system requirements regarding PowerNap, that it obviously going to exclude third party SSD's. It's nice to have some formal confirmation, but honestly, it's nothing that earth shattering.

ETA: Nevermind on the rest of what I said earlier. I don't want to fight...

Not that it really matters to me, since I'm happy with the 512GB SSD in my new rMBP, but OWC is reporting Power Nap working on their Aura Pro SSDs...

While we were at it, we also tested the 2010 MacBook Air 13″, 2011 MacBook Air 11 & 13″, and the 2012 MacBook Air 11 & 13″ with our OWC Mercury Aura Pro SSDs (for the 2010, 2011, and 2012 models) and can confirm that Power Nap works as perfectly with our SSDs as they do with the originals.

Just sayin'.
