PowerPC Mac Mini UPNP server

I'm going to get a PowerPC Mac Mini to run a couple hard drives in a 500 gb RAID 0 and then having time machine back up to a 1 tb hdd. I was hoping I would be able to use it as a UPNP server to my PS3, with not much hope for transcoding, just serving the prerendered video. Does anyone have a setup like this? How fast is your mini? Any suggestions to what I should look for?

P.S. I want the PowerPC mini because I can grab one for under 200 from ebay and it has a small footprint.
