Powers off during wake from sleep

Mac Pro, 5,1 running Windows 7 recently started powering off after I try to wake from sleep.

After going to sleep like normal, the power light fades in and out like normal. When I try to wake it, it shuts off completely. Have to power back up and Windows resumes. Tried resetting power settings but no effect.

Any ideas?

Most likely a power supply issue. If you also have OS X installed, trying booting that and see if you have the same issue. Power supply is easy to replace, I got mine from dvwarehouse.com. Might be able to find one cheaper elsewhere.

Booted into OS X and all worked fine. Back to Windows and same issue. I'm trying to uninstall some recent updates to see if that changes anything. Anyone else have any possible solutions?
[doublepost=1558444153][/doublepost]Just uninstalled three updates dated 05/15 and all seems well now. Don't know which one affected the sleep wake but we'll see.

That’s odd. Have you ever thought about putting windows 10 on it?

So okay, I had a very similar issue on my 5,1. It first started happening only in macOS, but then eventually in Windows too. It turned out to be the aging power supply. I bought another one and it solved the problem 100%. Still no issues to this day. Hope this helps.
