I just recieved a 6 Plus that has 8.1.2 installed on it. Unfortunately I made the mistake of updating iTunes on the only windows computer I had access to so TaiG coukdnt read that I had iTunes installed on the computer. On my Mac I know there is the option of PP, but does anyone know if anyone in the jailbreak commie out has considered it safe to use yet? I've searched the Internet to find nothing where reputable jailbreak community members have said anything. Is anyone using it? If not, how can I downgrade iTunes on windows so that I can use TaiG?

Thanks

The recent thread about people using the Mac version suggests it's ok but yes I would really want one or more of the known Jb Community bods to thumbs up it.

However for me personally I chose to fire up an old Samsung Netbook with Windows 7 on it just to jail break my iP6+

been running the PP JB for Mac on my iPhone 6 128gb since the day it came out with no issues, or noticeable ill effects in performance, battery life.

I personally won't be jailbreaking with PP until MuscleNerd, Saurik or one of the other established jailbreak experts gives it the ok.

In the meantime I'm fine with stock until I can find a windows PC to use TAIG on.

I used PP and it worked fine. Not a single issue! No lagging or battery issues, no issues during the JB (which took only about 2 mins total). As far as the safety of the JB it seems fine. (Of course who knows, maybe the author od PP installed some hidden nefarious processes is stealing all our personal info etc LOL... but I don't think so.)

I found another PC with with outdated iTunes and used that install Taig.. PP is more convenient but like most of you guys I would have liked to here more from the jailbreak devs. Thanks for all of your input

If PP posed a legitimate threat, I have a feeling we would have known something by now. I had no issue using the PP jailbreak. I understand people are always leery of the unknown, but all these teams were unknown at one point or another.

I used PP and it seems ok.
I can't get Themes to load.
They are checked off in winterboard and it resprings but the theme doesn't work.
Also SBSettings closes as soon as I open it. :(

You need to make sure the theme you are using is updated for iOS 8 and the 6 and 6+ (if applicable). If not, you can edit the theme to be compatible yourself.

SB settings hasn't been updated since iOS 6. It's redundant to control center and control center tweaks now.

From what I remember about theming us that the particular theme you want is to have it dragged to the top of the list in the settings.

His sig seems to suggest that he has an iPhone 5.

Posting from tapatalk would make it impossible to see his sig. Thus why I added (if applicable). Being updated for iOS 8 still stands. Apple changed many png names.

Oh, that explains it. I've always just used a web browser for MR even on my iPhone.

Anyone have issues installing PP Jailbreak for Mac? I want to jailbreak my iPhone 6 running 8.1.2. The dmg file does not seem to install on my Mac.

Don't double click on it, instead.....right click and 'open'.

Thank you for replying. What I mean is, it doesn't download properly. When I click on the software, the download goes from 0 to 100% in a second. Then when I open the dmg file I get the below warning message which typically means a bad download. That was on Chrome. But then I tried Firefox and it downloaded and installed fine.
