I'm considering getting an intel iMac. I take it these things can still run PPC apps using rosetta. In particular I'd like to be able to run my Office2001 for PPC on it. Will it run well?

I don't have any experience with the intel macs. My main setup is a dual-G5 tower.

Thanks!

Funny you should ask. I just got my new iMac yesterday and attempted to run some PPC software for the first time this evening. Quicken and Office, to be exact, and neither will run. Supposedly 10.4.10 introduced some issues with Rosetta, but Apple's current list of fixes don't work for me (as I described in another thread on here). :'( No idea what to do, and I need at least Quicken to work and I'd *like* to have Office.

Just another data point here: Running 10.4.10. Don't have Office 2004, but Office X is running fine (PowerPoint, Excel and Word all launch fine)
