I have a late G4 Mini with a failing Hard Drive, does anyone have any replacement recommendations it currently has 80Gb. What is the maximum size that it will support?

Thanks in Advance

It appears to be a 2.5" EIDE/ATA/PATA Hard Drive, like those found in Laptops. The maximum size you can get for it would be about 500GB, but that is very expensive. You would likely only need a 320GB.

I seem to have distant memory's of a PC mag looking at 120G as the max because of heat generated? I would like 320Gb but do agree it is a PATA interface.

Thank You

Here's a guide to help you swap out a hard drive in the G4 Mini. Clicky.

The largest 2.5" IDE hard drive is a 320gb Western Digital. You can purchase it at Newegg.com and there are 2 versions, $89.99 & $99.99.

While you have it apart, you should also max out the memory.

Thanks for the link as for memory I have a 1Gb Module that's been patiently waiting to go in.:)
