Hey everyone,

I have noticed that pre-adding an album never works for me. When I do the current available songs will download to my device while the unreleased ones remain grey. Understood as the album has not been released. However, once the album releases some songs will download and some will get stuck as grey. In my library the album will show some tracks as grey and “cannot be played”. However if I then view the album on Apple Music through the browse tab the tracks will be playable with a cloud download button but they will never download. I have to delete the entire album from my library and re-add it in order to get all the tracks.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

Hmm, I've never experienced this yet and I've pre-loaded many albums. Apple music will allow you to pre-load an album, then you will get singles as they are released and little by little the album is released but the remaining is greyed out. Sometimes it can be up to half the album is released one by one and the remaining is greyed out. It really depends on the artist.

I was thinking maybe you had the release date wrong and that's why you still see it greyed out and now working, but you say you went to the artist page and you can stream the whole thing. **Apple music makes no distinction between streaming and downloading. In other words if you can stream it, you can download it.**

Do you see a "complete my album" button (towards the bottom of the page) on your preloaded album page?

Here is an example of an album I’ve had in my library for a long time and is suddenly not available. Yet I can see it when I browse Apple Music. Some deluxe version and everything.
