This is a mockup I did a couple of years ago for an iLounge contest. I called it the gPad. I had totally forgotten about it. I hadn't really thought through functionality, although PDA apps were obviously on my mind. I don't think I gave much thought to a phone. But one thing I got right was the single button! Cookie please! ;)

yeah... I like that, I like it alot. Its almost exactly what I'd want with a v2 iPhone, just with more apps on the home screen. The apple is obviously the only real button just like an iPhone, and the screen is multi touch. Perfect. Brilliant really. This could be 3g, have a killer battery and would have a full file navigation system with storage, accessbility, and Many Many apps. iChat, iphoto, photobooth, iCal, iTunes, and all the rest.

that is really nice. I do like the designs. Should submit to Apple for their second iPhone version

Can you imagine how much money you would be rolling in right now, if you had patented this concept art?

This would fall under a "design patent" (I checked it out a while back) since I didn't create anything but a specific cosmetic appearance. But it would be pretty tricky to get such a patent for an image using Apple's proprietary icons, wallpaper and logo. As far as the single button interface, this has appeared before my sketch, and since, from companies other than Apple.
