Probably not the right place for this so feel free to move...

One of my favorite artists just announced a pre-order album which I'd love to get. iTunes has it at a great price. With Christmas in a week, I'd rather wait till after that to buy it. Anyone know how long pre-orders usually last? I've never purchased one before.

Thanks!

I'm perplexed by your question. Buying a pre order now won't make a difference later. Why not just wait until after Christmas, then buy? It's not like they'll run out of digital copies.

I am also perplexed, hence my question. ;)

But seriously - I know they won't run out, but I'm guessing they'll raise the price.

iTunes has it $4 cheaper than Amazon and the artist.
