This is my first time pre-ordering an iPhone. I'm planning to put some money down on the phone and then paying the remainder of the balance through their financing (in Canada) and was wondering what it is like to pre-order a phone in store? It seems you cannot put a down-payment while pre-ordering online so I would have to go to a store to do this. Is it usually very busy on the day that the pre-orders open? And has anyone put a down-payment on a phone to bring the monthly cost down before and know if this is something they can do easily in store?

I ended up finally getting through to an actual store, rather than Apple's 1-800 number and just in case anyone else is wondering I confirmed that in Canada if you go to an Apple store, you can pay down whatever amount you want and then finance the remaining balance. FYI for those who might want to know!

I think I misunderstood and thought you were just going to put money down and come back later to buy and pay the rest.

‘’’When you pay for your phone, both Canadian and American stores do not care how you pay for it as long as it is full paid or financed. It is money they love.
