Just got this email from Apple and posted in UK iPhone thread also:
Thank you for purchasing the new Apple iPhone 4.
We are currently preparing your Order for shipment.
Your delivery address is in an area where our carrier transit times are slightly longer. We expect to deliver your Order after the 24th June.
You will receive a Shipment Notification when your Order is dispatched, which will provide you with more specific tracking information.
Order is coming up as "not yet shipped", so I presume it is not even en route. Very poor indeed. All that mindless hitting of Refresh on the pre-order release date and it looks like it could be next week before I'll have the phone.
Best laid plans of mice and men etc.
However, would it have been hard for them to stick the phone in the post in order to honour the "delivers by June 24" promise?
