I just installed the new MacOs26 - and it looks interesting. It will take some time to get used to the new rounder edges. I did notice something. The widget and new Mac OS borders match the MacBookPro’s rounded corners. Almost perfectly…

Either Apple Engineers are just brilliant in their design sense OR possible a near borderless (or maybe flush to the edge) displays for Mac Book Pro in the works?

Unlikely. The corner radius/shape of these displays conform to the hardware itself; to maximise screen estate on the portable, the screen reaches the edges via a rounded display, just as square corners fit the square frame of a Studio/Pro Display XDR/iMac. Plus, square corners are better for creative content because the edges of the work can be 1:1 with the display, whereas a rounded display requires a border.

I don’t think Apple minds cutting into creative content. Their phone has the same rounded edge and that border has been shrinking and shrinking.
