Any Info regarding which Video Cards work best for GPU acceleration etc. with premiere pro? considering the limitations of the PCI 1 bus and the 64/32 bit issues with the 2006 mac pro.

I have a 2006 Macpro that I have been updating for video work. First I installed an ATI 5770 card before I found tiamo's boot efi
After installing Tiamo's boot efi on a mavericks 10.9.1 install the machine is running very smoothly, here is the info from about this mac:

Processor 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon

Memory 16 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)

I am not very savvy with Hackintosh etc...

help!

So far very stable! in facet the new os makes use of the gl function of this card and looks like premiere pro likes it as well

Video card for Mac Pro1,1 and Adobe Premiere Pro CC

I have a Mac Pro1,1 from 2006 and I would like to run Adobe Premiere Pro CC on it.

Which video card will work with Mac Pro 1,1 and Premiere CC ?
Any other upgrades I can do to improve performance?

Grateful for any help...!!!

That's my system:
Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Number of Processors: 2
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Graphics ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512 M
Total Number of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per Processor): 4 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B08
SMC Version (system): 1.7f10

I have nearly the identical setup, other than running a Sapphire HD7950 Mac Edition (which was a recent installation) and a little less RAM. It runs very well (i.e. it's stable and has not crashed since my install of Mavericks + Tiamo boot efi). When I'm taxing the GPU, the display card's fan is awfully loud. I'm not using Premiere CC, so I can't vouch for any benefit to this card for that software, but for stuff that uses OpenCL, it runs noticeably faster than the 5770 that I had in there prior to the GPU change.

Thanks for your feedback. Happy to know that there are ways to keep the Mac Pro1.1 working! I still have to find out if there's a way to run Premiere CC on it, so far I don't know of any graphic card that is compatible
