Ok, I had something weird happen today. I had preordered a book on iBook. I had downloaded the sample and pre-ordered it. The book was supposed to be released today. But when I went to read it, it was still just showing it as a sample. Ok, make sure I am hooked up to wifi to download it, and try getting it again...and this is when it gets weird...the book is no longer listed!?!?! The authors other books are there, but not this one. So I go and check amazon/kindle and the book is still there in ebook form and available today. I checked and I did not get charged for it. Anyone ever had this happen to them before? I thought maybe the release had been delayed, but since Amazon and B&N are showing it, I have to wonder if this is some snafu on iBooks part. Anyone have some brilliant ideas?

Could be some licensing issue that hasn't been publicized. You may recall that happening with Animal Farm and some other book for Kindle. Best bet is to contact Apple support and let them know of the issue.

Book Finally downloaded....a week later

Apparently there was some licensing problem, blah blah blah...it finally down loaded this weekend. Very odd...but I got it!

I've noticed some other books that were on itunes disappeared. For instance i downloaded a sample of a Dean Knootz novel (and at the time there were several). A couple of nights ago I did a search and it had no listings. Just checked and still no listings:confused:

Which book was it? Just curious.

Are you asking me? Without quotes it hard to tell and since you post is right below mine one must assume. I have a sample of Shadowfires and it's no longer available. However there were probably 20 or more DK books that are all gone.
