Hi everyone. I finally restored, jailbroke (redsn0w), and unlocked (ultrasn0w) my new (bought used) iPhone 3G 3.0. I have plopped in the pay-as-you-go goPhone sim and it still is not working. It says 'No Service" in the upper left hand corner. Maybe it is true that GoPhone sims are locked to the phone it was activated on for 180 days? I read that in some thread...

That goPhone was $40 and it may be a loss now I guess. I suppose I could still use it as a cheap crappy phone...ANyway, what cheaper prepaid sim I could easily buy that would almost definitely work?

Looks like AT&T locks the goPhone sims in some prepaid phones to the original phone for 180 days. Confirmed now. Read it on various prepaid phone threads in another forum and found it written in my paperwork with the new phone. Sigh..time to find another prepaid sim that works for sure!
