Being new to Apple, I want to make sure that I can prepare my old MPB 15, which is running Yosemite, for sale. The most important thing is ensuring that all my data is securely wiped from the drive so the next person, if he tried to recover anything, they'll be no traces.

How can I achieve this in Yosemite, so the user has a fresh laptop to start using?

Thanks

Filevault the entire HD with a strong password.
Then erase everything with Disk Utility's "7-pass erase".
Than reinstall yosemite.
Done.
