Press Left Edge of Screen to Access App Switcher? iOS 12

When iOS 11 was released, this feature had been removed because Apple thought that nobody used or wanted it. I still use it every day, all thru the day, instead of double clicking the Home button (iPhone 6S Plus and 8 Plus) to access the app switcher. I was upset. Fortunately for me, it was added back in the next dot release a week later.

I'm preparing to upgrade my current iPhone 8 Plus to iOS 12 before passing it on to a family member because my new iPhone XS Max arrived on Friday and hasn't been set up yet.

Does anyone know if iOS 12 still has the left edge screen press available?

yes it still works in iOS 12 beta 12.1
