Hey guys, Ive just read about The Press Reader app ... As I understand, its more like a Zinio App for news papers then an app like those for the WallStreet Journal or NY Times ...

Has anyone of you tried it for the ipad ?
Is it cheaper per month instead of the other Official news paper apps ?
Any offline reading possible ?

thx in advance guys !! :)

You can read the issues offline because the App downloads them to your ipad.

29.99 Get's you unlimited downloads of newspapers.

I just took a look at the iPad app and I am so excited about this! To know that I can have newspapers with me anytime, the entire paper as it appears in print version.....Awesome! Now to check on subscription prices and see what is best choice for me :D

Maybe I'm missing something but I downloaded the app and have downloaded 3 different papers and it has yet to ask for payment info or to set up an account (ie: asking for my info/email) Is this normal? I thought you had to sign up and pay for the content or is it a trial that i can download a certain of papers before it makes me sign up.

The app comes with 7 free titles as a trial. After that, you'll be asked to pay 99 cents per download. Best deal is a subscription at PressDisplay.com - either 31 issues for $10/month OR unlimited at $30/month. And that lets you read the same paper on 3 computers and 3 mobile devices and only pay once.

ok so 10$ a month gets me a whole month of a desired news paper ? (much better deal then 99 cents a download)

The add an other 10$ for every other news paper I need to see ? sweet deal !

Is the viewing experience pretty much the same as with Zinio on the Ipad ?

Any interactive features like taping on a headline from the front page would bring me to the full article a couple of pages after ?

Is the performance good .... or is it sluggish ?

What I am not sure about is can you mix and max the papers in those 31 issues? I can't find a way to contact anyone, maybe I am just missing the contact info.

Any paper, any day. You could have 10 different papers one day and none another. You have 31 credits for the month to do with as you see fit. It's great!

Wow! That's awesome, thank you for clearing that up for me, I am loving this app. Guess it's time for me to register now, wish the code back in April was still good for a free month, do you know how to contact them?

I know they're fairly active on both Facebook and Twitter.
