Pressing hard on display while iPad Pro turned off

I had a glass screen protector on my iPad Pro 10.5 but it cracked so I wanted to take the protector off and replace it with a new one. I used the tech armor suction cups to remove the glass protector but it wouldn't come off. I pressed fairly hard on the iPad display while doing so a few times. I then figured out that I could take the protector off with my finger nail on the corner of the screen.

Could I have done any damage to the screen when I put pressure on it? The display was off.

I mean, you can always do some kind of damage depending on how much pressure you apply. It also wouldn't matter if the screen was on or off.

Turn your screen on and check for damage...then answer your own question.

I don't think so. If you would have subjected the display to any damage, you would have noticed it when the display was off and on.
