On my new Pro, the pressure point on the corner of the volume button is slightly softer than in the centre or the volume down button. Do I have to worry about the button not working? The functionality is excellent, but it just doesn't crack :) Both buttons sit the same, have no play and do not wobble. What do you think?

I think you should go to a store and try display units. If the buttons feel better to you and you're still within the return window, just return the phone and buy a new one

Completely normal!
Had 6x 15PM now and every phone had different click points. One phone had a mushy volume down button. On the bottom there was no click and on the to the top there was a real click.
But yes also on my current phone with good buttons the clicky feeling is different on every position 😌

Okay, thanks. In the end, it's only slightly different when you press the corner of the switch. If you press in the middle or underneath then it also makes a nice click sound :) I took a close look at both buttons and the top button is maybe 0.5mm more inside than the other. But the key has a pressure point and is not crooked, so I think it's still within tolerance. The problem is, if I replace it now, what will the other iPhone have :)? If necessary, I have a warranty if the button doesn't work after all...
