Apologies if this has been covered before, I did a search but couldn't find an answer.

I'm an Apple Music subscriber and I want to upload songs to iCloud Music that are differently mastered versions of songs that are in Apple Music. For instance, a Gold disc version of The Doors' first album. However, Apple will still match these songs do the versions they have (I'm guessing because the audio fingerprint is fairly similar). Is there a way to add my own music and tell Apple to not match it but to upload it? Obviously they don't want to upload a song they already have, but it's kinda lame that I can't have some control over it. Google Music has begun to do the same thing, unfortunately.

Thanks!

Have you deleted the album, and retried this recently? It's my experience that the algorithm is much improved in the last month.

You can also try changing some of the album's metadata in iTunes. That often forces an "upload" for me.

only way i know if to add -1 or something else to the song name to make it not match.. May not help in all cases, particularly with large songs u need, but i've never had a problem with that.

The fingerprint matching that Apple introduced over the summer should have fixed this. Is everyone definitely using the latest version of iTunes?

Yes! When i try using apple music library for my local files it ether dublicates the playlists or ruins the playlist structure complitly. Sometimes adding a duplicate playlist and moving them from playlistfolder. This happens right after the itunes scanning progress finnishes when pushing the button for itunes music library..

Adding local files in icloud music library is a real problem.
