I use zendesk for support and it has a chat feature. I must keep the browser open to enable chat. But I have a terrible habit of closing browsers/applications and I forget about the need to keep it open.

Is there some sort of app/plugin that makes it impossible to close an application (Or really hard?)

I am not aware of any programs that can do what you want. Keep in mind that preventing an application from terminating could cause other issues like rebooting the computer (on purpose by your or for an OS X update) as OS X waits for all programs to terminate unless you forced a hard shutdown (holding down the power button). And Apple does update Safari sometimes and that would require Safari to terminate before it could be updated.

Google Chrome has this option and I love it. Have to either hold Command + Q or hold Command and hit Q twice to close the browser.
