I have a problem with Windows 10 mounting some of my external drives (formatted as HFS+ journaled). Apparently, it does occassionally write to these drives. and this confuses the hell out of time machine when I return to MacOSX. And of course, I'd rather not mount my backup disk at all.

Is there any way to configure Windows 10 Home to just not mount these drives? I'd sort of like to keep the HFS+ drivers around, as they solve some other problems.

Did you install a third party HFS driver? The last I checked, Apple's HFS+ driver included in Boot Camp was read-only so Windows cannot alter those drives in the first place.

I may have. Part of Seagate's FreeAgent software, IIRC.

I'll check it out.
